Bayern upbeat over Ribery talks

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is confident Franck
Ribery will agree to extend his contract with the German champions.
Ribery still has a year left to run on his current deal at
the Allianz Arena but if he does not sign an extension the club may
feel compelled to sell rather than lose him on a free next summer.
Rummenigge is due to begin negotiations with the France
international in the coming days and is optimistic an agreement
will be reached.
"I would stick my neck out and say that Ribery will not only
be playing for Bayern Munich next year, but also beyond,"
Rummenigge told Sport1 television.
"I am quite optimistic. We have good chances as we head into
negotiations."
Reaching the finals of both the Champions League and
DFB-Pokal has boosted Bayern's hopes of keeping hold of the
27-year-old, who joined the club for 25million euros in 2007.
