Bayern Munich has signed Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger's brother for its second-string team.
The 30-year-old Tobias Schweinsteiger is the top scorer for third-division side Jahn Regensburg this season with 12 goals.
Schweinsteiger said Sunday on Bayern's website that ''I'm happy that I can finally play together in the same club as my brother Bastian.''
It's unlikely the siblings will play together competitively, with Bayern's second team playing in the fourth-tier southern regional league.
