FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) Bayern Munich has asked the Bundesliga to install goal-line technology despite being on the right side of a wrong decision in the German Cup final.

Bayern won the final 2-0 in extra time but only after the referee did not award a goal to Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels. Replays showed the ball had crossed the line before defender Dante kicked it out.

It was the latest in a series of wrong decisions, including an allowed goal from a ball that had come in through the side netting.

A majority of the 36 first and second division clubs voted against the technology, arguing it was too expensive.

Bayern now wants the technology to be installed only in the first division to ''better protect our football and referees above all.''
