MUNICH --
Bayern Munich is ready to extend Pep Guardiola's contract as coach if the Spaniard so decides.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says, ''Pep is not a person who values an early extension, but I've already informed him that we are ready any time he feels like it.''

Guardiola is in his second season at Bayern, having led the German powerhouse to the domestic double and Champions League semifinals in his first season. His existing contract runs through June 2016.
Rummenigge said Friday night that ''Pep is a blessing for Bayern. I'll do everything I can to ensure this coach and person stays as long as possible in Munich.''
