Defending champion Bayern Munich ground out a hard-fought 2-0 win over Nuremberg to maintain its winning start to the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Nurnberg went closest to breaking the deadlock as Bayern struggled to get their game going in the first half, though David Alaba missed a penalty for the hosts. When Pep Guardiola's side found top gear in the second half, though, there was only one side who was going to win with wingers Ribery and Robben clinching their third straight win.
Sidney Sam was on target twice for Bayer Leverkusen as they moved into a four-way tie for top spot with a 4-2 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.
Stefan Kiessling scored first before setting up Sam to give Leverkusen a two-goal lead at the interval. Martin Stranzl and Juan Arango brought Gladbach back on terms, but Sam's second and a Gonzalo Castro goal ensured Sami Hyypia's men extended their perfect start to the season.

The visitors lost Francis Coquelin to a red card before the interval, yet they took the lead for the first time through Sebastian Freis in the 65th minute. Tobias Strobl levelled in the 77th minute before the final red card of the game was shown to substitute Admir Mehmedi in stoppage time.
Hertha Berlin extended their unbeaten start to the season to three games with a 1-0 win at home to strugglers Hamburg.
Adrian Ramos' 74th-minute goal was enough for Jos Luhukay's men to take all three points for the second time at home this season and leave Hamburg in a crisis with just one point from their first three games of the season. Hamburg's toothless attack rarely threatened a goal with coach Thorsten Fink now under even more pressure.
