Bayern Munich has extended the contracts of chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and vice chairman Karl Hopfner.

Bayern president Uli Hoeness says on Wednesday the supervisory board unanimously agreed to the contract extensions until Dec. 31, 2013 for Rummenigge, and until the end of 2012 for Hopfner.

Hoeness says ''this ensures that the successful work in Bayern Munich will continue.''

Rummenigge has been Bayern chairman since February 2002. The 55-year-old former international was vice president from 1991-2002.
