Bayern chairman confirms interest in Goetze, Reus
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed the Bundesliga leader's interest in signing rising Germany stars Mario Goetze and Marco Reus.
Rummenigge told Sunday newspaper Welt am Sonntag that ''Goetze is a magnificent player despite being only 19 years old. Of course we observe such players.''
Goetze scored to give Borussia Dortmund a 1-0 win in Munich on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Reus, who scored a hat-trick in Borussia Moenchengladbach's 5-0 demolition of Werder Bremen, has also captured Bayern's attention.
Rummenigge said ''Reus has a clause in his contract that isn't exactly cheap (but) he could give us even more quality in the long run.''
