Bastia must play next home game in Gueugnon

The French football league has ordered Corsican side Bastia to play its next home match against Nancy more than 850 kilometers (527 miles) away in Gueugnon due to persistent crowd problems this season.

The decision announced Friday came the day after the LFP indefinitely suspended Bastia from playing its home games at Stade Armand Cesari Furiani.

Even though newly-promoted Bastia played its previous home game against Marseille behind closed doors on Wednesday, several thousand fans watched the match on a big screen just next to the stadium and let off flares and firecrackers, injuring one LFP delegate in the leg.

Gueugnon is located in France's Burgundy region.
