Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli is injured and out of the Italy squad for the friendly against Nigeria in London on Monday and could also miss his club's next Serie A match.
Barzagli was replaced 19 minutes from the end of Italy's 1-1 draw against Germany on Friday after hurting his left thigh and has returned to his club.
Barzagli underwent a scan on Saturday which Juventus says ''has revealed a pectineus muscle strain.''
The club adds ''the extent of the injury will be assessed over the coming days.''

Juventus travels to Livorno next Sunday. The two-time defending champion is second in the league and has closed the gap on leader Roma to one point.
