The Black Cats full-back is reportedly being lined up by new Scotland boss Craig Levein but the 24-year-old admits he has not given up hope of representing England. Born in Salford, the former Manchester United youngster qualifies for Scotland through his Glasgow-born father. However England boss Fabio Capello is thought to have run the rule over Bardsley during the Black Cats 1-0 defeat to Fulham last month, proving he is in the Italian's plans. "If they want me, they know where I am," he told the Daily Star. "I am English, but if another country wanted me to play for them, I would be happy to listen. They should contact me." Bardsley admitted that is was not the first time he had been approached to play for Scotland. "The only time it has previously come up was when Sir Alex Ferguson locked me in a room with Walter Smith when I was only 18. It was a bit scary. "I was only young and it was a big commitment, but I decided to keep my options open.
