Barcelona forward Jeffren Suarez will miss four to five weeks due
to a leg muscle injury.
Jeffren picked up the injury to his right thigh playing in
Monday's 1-1 friendly draw against Kazma Sporting of Kuwait.
The 21-year-old Spaniard, who was born in Venezuela,
impressed after coming off the bench late in Barcelona's 2-1 win
over Estudiantes in the Club World Cup final on Saturday, and
looked set for a more prominent role.
Coach Pep Guardiola said the club needed Jeffren in January
when several players are away for African Cup of Nations duty.
Barcelona has also lost midfielder Seydou Keita for three
weeks to a similar injury.
