Barcelona's defense may be without Maxwell, Milito

Barcelona's already thin defense may be further depleted for Wednesday's Champions League first-leg semifinal at Real Madrid after medical scans revealed injuries to Maxwell and Gabriel Milito.
Barcelona says on its website that Sunday's scans confirmed lower body injuries to Brazilian fullback Maxwell and centerback Milito following Saturday's 2-0 win over Osasuna. The players' availability against Madrid will depend on how they progress over the coming days.
Barcelona is already without Eric Abidal and Adriano, while captain and centerback Carles Puyol is questionable.
The Spanish champion goes into the third of four matches in 18 days with Madrid coming off a 1-0 defeat in the final of the Copa del Rey. The teams also drew 1-1 in the league.
