Barcelona FC has announced it will hold presidential elections on
June 13.
Club president Joan Laporta said on Barcelona's Web site the
date had been chosen to avoid "interfering with the sporting
interests of the club."
The Spanish league season ends on May 16, with the Champions
League final held May 22nd.
Laporta took charge with an election victory in 2003 and won
a second election unchallenged three years later. He will not be
running for a third term.
