They will be confident of protecting that lead in the return match at White Hart Lane on Wednesday, especially as Bale is in contention to feature after recovering from a back problem. The Welshman, who will be assessed before kick-off after feeling stiffness in his legs over the past couple of days, is confident Tottenham can finish the job and move through to the quarter-finals. But he still has a lot of respect for the quality within Milan's ranks, even if key midfielder Gennaro Gattuso will be absent due to suspension. "I watched the game on TV at home and we played well," the winger told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I don't know if it will be better playing a Milan team without Gattuso. However we will have fewer shouting matches! "We came up against one of the top teams in Serie A, who are really tough. Like Inter Milan. "But this time we did not go down to 10 men and we showed what Tottenham are capable of doing. "They have a string of big names capable of winning matches on their own.
