Ayew settled at Marseille

The Ghana international, who was born in France, was being tipped to join the Gunners in a €13million (£11.3million) deal. A host of European clubs such as Manchester City, Sevilla and Schalke are also believed to be in the hunt for his services. Ayew told Didier Deschamps from day one that he was happy staying at the club and was not unsettled by the speculation. However, the 21-year-old admits a club like Arsenal has a certain allure due to their impressive stadium and facilities on offer. "The day we returned I told the coach I'd stay," he told L'Equipe. "It was my desire, even though in football you never know what can happen. "It wasn't a great heartache and I absolutely was not unsettled. I'm lucky to be at Marseille. "Arsenal? There's everything, the stadium, team, training complex, finances, that's the image a lot of players dream of."
