Aston Villa has been drawn at home to third tier side Tranmere in the second round of the League Cup.
The fixture is a repeat of the 1994 semifinal which saw Tranmere, then in the second tier of English football, lose 5-4 on penalties after drawing 4-4 on aggregate after two matches. Villa went on to beat Manchester United 3-1 in the final, one of its five cup triumphs.
Elsewhere in Wednesday's draw, Everton was handed a home game against Leyton Orient, also in the third tier, and Sunderland will play fourth tier Morecambe at the Stadium of Light. Fulham travels to Hillsborough to play Sheffield Wednesday.
The games will be played in the week commencing Aug. 27.
