Arsene Wenger says he may not be at Arsenal next season, but will manage somewhere

Arsene Wenger knows he may not be the Arsenal manager next season, but he does intend to be in charge of some club.

"No matter what happens, I will manage next season, whether it's here or somewhere else. That's absolutely for sure," Wenger said in a Friday press conference.

Wenger's contract with Arsenal expires in the summer. There have been reports that the club offered him a two-year contract extension, but that hasn't been confirmed by the club or Wenger. Whether there is hesitation on the part of Arsenal, Wenger or both is unclear, but there is no doubting that there is plenty of uncertainty heading into the summer.

That Wenger is openly acknowledging he may not be the Arsenal boss next season is somewhat new. He had previously loathed to talk about the future and what was next for he and the Gunners. However before Arsenal were waxed by Bayern, 5-1, on Wednesday, he said that his future would probably be decided in March or April.

Wenger has made it clear that he's not going to retire so it's no surprise he's committed to managing again next season. While there had been some speculation he may take a year off, he is still one of the most well-known and accomplished managers around. Finding another job won't be difficult and he'll have offers from all around the world.

In the meantime, Wenger has to figure out how to turn things around at Arsenal. Not only are they set to crash out of the Champions League, but they're in a tight race to finish in the top four. With the team sliding, Wenger has to get things right or it won't be his choice to stay or go. Arsenal will force him out.
