Quilmes claimed their first win of the season, seeing off Newell's Old Boys 3-1 to leapfrog their opponents off the bottom of the Clausura table.

Quilmes took the lead through Bernardo Romeo in the 22nd minute but Mauricio Sperdutti restored parity four minutes later.

The hosts pulled away in the second half as substitute Martin Cauteruccio
struck in the 61st minute, two minutes after coming on, and Romeo grabbed his second five minutes from time.
