A team official says Argentina will set up its World Cup training base in Pretoria ahead of next year's tournament in South Africa.
Huberto Grondona, son of Argentine football federation president Julio Grondona, said Thursday that two-time champion Argentina has reached a deal to train at the University of Pretoria. He said the venue is often used for training by South Africa's national rugby team.
Grondona said the location means that "we will not have to travel far no matter which teams we get (in Friday's draw)."
