Anton to make handshake call

Anton to make handshake call

Terry and Ferdinand will come face to face just days before the Chelsea defender is in court for allegedly racially abusing the QPR man in October's Premier League clash.

The Daily Mail claims 'it is FA Cup protocol for both sets of players to shake hands before matches and Rangers want to do their utmost to defuse a potentially explosive encounter'.

It is assumed that Terry will extend his hand - as he did two years ago when Wayne Bridge opted not to shake it - but it is not yet known whether Ferdinand will reciprocate.

It is understood that the FA will encourage QPR to encourage Ferdinand to shake Terry's hand and allow the courts to deal with the matter.
