Augsburg says it has signed former Turkey forward Halil Altintop to a two-year contract.
Altintop is returning to the Bundesliga, where he played for Schalke and Eintracht Frankfurt before leaving for Trabzonspor in 2011.
He had another season on his contract with the Turkish side but the deal was terminated by mutual consent.
Augsburg avoided relegation with a strong performance in the second half of the season.
