Ajax's perfect start to the season ended Sunday with a 2-2 draw at VVV-Venlo.

The draw left FC Twente top of the Dutch league thanks to a 5-1 win over SC Heerenveen on Saturday.

Nigerians Michael Uchebo and Ahmed Musa combined to put Venlo in front after 47 minutes before Musa sped past three Ajax defenders to double the lead unchallenged in the 60th.

Theo Janssen started Ajax's comeback, scoring with a shot from the edge of the area in the 68th before Kolbeinn Sigthorsson added the equalizer a minute later.
