Belgium international Toby Alderweireld scored and provided an assist to lead Ajax past Anderlecht 3-0 and assure it a near-certain place in the last 16 of the Europa League.
Alderweireld headed home the first goal in the 33rd minute on a corner and sent Christian Eriksen deep in the 60th. The Dane swept past goalkeeper Silvio Proto to put the ball in the empty net.
It broke the last resistance of Anderlecht, which missed a penalty minutes earlier when Marcin Wasilewski shot the ball over.
In the 69th, Ajax striker Mounir El Hamdaoui made the debacle for Anderlecht complete when he beat the offside trap and swept the ball past Proto again.
