Striker Sergio Aguero dodged questions about his future and a possible move to England ahead of Atletico Madrid's Europa League semi-final, second leg against Liverpool at Anfield.

Last week the Argentina international was quoted as saying he could learn from players like Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard and that Chelsea were a "great club".

The 21-year-old, who returns to the Atletico squad having been suspended for their 1-0 victory in the first leg, has long been linked with big-money moves to Chelsea and Manchester United.

However, despite speculation about his future - he is widely expected to leave the Vicente Calderon in the summer - he is focused on booking the club's place in the Europa League final.

"The day before an important semi-final I don't think is the right time to talk about my future," Aguero said.

"From now until June I am concentrating on games and doing my best for Atleti.

"At the end of the season we'll perhaps sit down with the club and decide on a course of action which best suits us both."

Aguero has been one of Atletico's best players this season and with Diego Forlan, who scored the only goal in Madrid, forms a formidable strike partnership.

However, he is well aware that if they allow Liverpool to gain a foothold in the game their hopes of reaching the final in Hamburg on May 12 may be in jeopardy.

"When I came to Europe I came here for nights just like tomorrow night," said the Argentinian, who moved to Madrid from Club Atletico Independiente in 2006.

"Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world on their own park but it is a game we have to take calmly and in our stride.

"For any player, playing in a stadium like this is an extra motivation but we are in a semi-final and that gives us all the motivation we need.

"The first few minutes are going to be decisive. We are the away team and we have to make sure we have to go out fully concentrated and with a determined attitude.

"We have to be prepared to play on the counter and maybe not go all out for goals.

"Liverpool will know we play very well on the counter-attack and we have fast guys up front and they will be prepared for that.

"If we do get an opportunity on the break we have to be able to convert it."
