Nigel Adkins remains tight-lipped when it comes to Reading's transfer targets, but admits he expects 'business to be done'.

The Royals have already freshened up a squad which suffered relegation out of the Premier League last season, with Danny Williams, Royston Drenthe and Wayne Bridge having been drafted in to the Madejski Stadium.

Further arrivals are expected, with Reading determined to bounce back into the top flight at the first time of asking.

Numerous names have been offered up as potential acquisitions, with strikers considered to be top of Adkins' wish list.

He has been linked with Celtic's Gary Hooper, Burnley's Charlie Austin and Southampton's Billy Sharp, but he is giving little away when it comes to a summer recruitment drive.

Adkins said in the Reading Post: "I know I've been linked with players, maybe because I've had them before or we've played against them or whatever.

"That's part and parcel of what it all is.

"If and when something needs to be announced, we'll do it.

"We're pleased with the business we've done early and I'm sure there will be a bit more business to be done."
