Academy player George Thorne, 18, made his Premier League debut on the final day of the season at Newcastle United and Harrison says the development has been positive for Albion's Academy. Harrison told the Express and Star: "Since the new head coach came in, it has been a really positive time for the Academy. "A number of the Academy players have trained with the first team on a regular basis, in particular George Thorne and James Hurst over the final months of last season. "In the last six weeks of the season those two were named in the 19/20-man squad for every game. That culminated in George making his Premier League debut at Newcastle." Albion's young professionals such as Kayleden Brown, Sam Mantom, Paul Downing, Romaine Sawyers and Saido Berahino have progressed well, while the Baggies also have high expatations for Kemar Roofe, Adil Nabi and Mani O'Sullivan. Harrison added: "Roy has been fantastic in including a number of boys in training, some for a day or two, some for a week, etc. "Certainly, he has had a good look at the players - and that's all we can ask for really. I have found the last two to three months a very positive period."
