AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez will be sidelined for at least two weeks with a right thigh injury.

The former Real Madrid player was injured during his team's 5-4 win at Parma on Sunday and will miss Saturday's Serie A clash against Juventus at the San Siro.

A statement from AC Milan read: "The goalkeeper has suffered a right thigh injury.

"He will be evaluated in a couple of weeks."

Coach Filippo Inzaghi will also be without Brazilian centre-back Alex for this weekend's match.

Alex sustained bruising to his right thigh against Parma and will undergo further tests later this week to determine the extent of the injury.

To complicate matters for Inzaghi, Italian midfielder Riccardo Saponara suffered an injury in training.

The Rossoneri confirmed that the 22-year-old will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday to repair damage to the collateral ligament and the meniscus in his left knee.

Milan, who are not competing in European competition this season, beat Lazio 3-1 in their Serie A opener before their narrow win at Parma last weekend.
