Barcelona defender Eric Abidal feared he'd never play again after being diagnosed with a liver tumor in March.
The 31-year-old France defender returned this month following surgery in mid-March but Abidal wasn't sure he could return.
He says ''when they detected the tumor you start to think the worst and that was the first thing I asked the doctor.''
Abidal says the episode has him seeing things ''differently'' as he sold his vehicles with funds going to charities. Abidal says ''when you have a problem like mine, cars don't serve any purpose.''

Abidal isn't sure he'll be fit to play a full 90 minutes for the Spanish champion against Manchester United in the May 28 Champions League final but he is training with that goal.
