Abby Wambach insinuates that referee in USA vs. Colombia was biased

In the USWNT's 2-0 win over Colombia in the Round of 16 at Commonwealth Stadium, their defeat of Las Chicas Superpoderosas (yes, in Colombia they are affectionately known as "The PowerPuff Girls" after the cartoon) moved the USWNT to the quarterfinals. However, their current lack of attacking form and the inconsistency in their overall play makes us wonder if the USWNT has what it takes to win the World Cup. The frustration in the U.S players is slowly beginning to show.
After the game, U.S. forward Abby Wambach, who missed a penalty kick in the game, was asked what she thought about the yellow cards that were handed to Lauren Holiday and Megan Rapinoe.
"I don't know if they were yellows," said Wambach. "It seemed like she (Stephanie Frappart) was purposefully giving those yellows to, maybe players she knew were sitting on yellows. I don't know if that's a psychological thing. Who knows?"
Now, both Holiday and Rapinoe will miss the quarterfinal match against China. But, Wambach could very well be reprimanded for her comments made regarding a World Cup referee. FIFA takes a dim view of such comments, and there is precedent to suspend a player.
We'll be keeping an eye on this story as it develops.
