Abbott hails Cadamarteri form
Cadamarteri came off the bench before feeding Matty Robson for the Cumbrians' 73rd-minute opener, which looked to be enough until Robin Shroot's late equaliser rescued a 1-1 draw for the hosts.
"I thought Danny's half-an-hour was absolutely excellent," said Abbott, who swooped for the 33-year-old after his release from Huddersfield in the summer.
"He looked really lively and was an absolute nuisance. If we can keep him fit and he continues to show the pace and power that he possesses then he's going to be a handful.
"The way the game went, we're a bit disappointed, but immensely pleased with the players' fitness levels in the heat. We've not come across this type of heat in Cumbria. To be fair neither set of players flagged, neither gave an inch and both fought it out for an important point.
"Every point you get early on is crucial, we're just a bit annoyed as we seemed to be in control of the game when we went 1-0 up, and certainly afterwards. It was such a soft goal to concede. We lost it far too cheaply but those things happen. There were a lot of positives too."
