Croatian state television says nine football hooligans have been charged over an attack on a bus carrying VIP guests of Greek club PAOK Thessaloniki that injured four people last December.

The state prosecutor has charged the group with ''endangering the lives and property of out of hatred.'' The report says the hooligans are aged from 18 to 23.

The attack took place at a crossroad in the capital Zagreb ahead of a Europa League match between Dinamo Zagreb and PAOK.

The bus was driving under escort, but police said at the time the attack was carried out in such an organized way that it was unable to be prevented.
