Undefeated Zenyatta completed her final workout in Southern California on Saturday before heading to the Breeders' Cup in Kentucky.

The 6-year-old mare ran six furlongs in 1:11.80 over the synthetic surface at Hollywood Park on Saturday. Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith was aboard.

''She went better than good,'' he said. ''It was excellent. She went really, really well and probably a little better than last year. She galloped out strong and was happy coming back. She's ready.''

Owners Jerry and Ann Moss and nearly 100 fans watched Zenyatta.

''She's always splendid,'' Jerry Moss said. ''It was beautiful and it looked like she had a lot left. It was the kind of work you want.''

Zenyatta will walk around the barn on Sunday and jog Monday.

''From here we have fun. Just play,'' trainer John Shirreffs said. ''She's got everything done we needed to do.''

Zenyatta will put her 19-0 record on the line in the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic next Saturday at Churchill Downs. She beat the boys in the race last year at Santa Anita.

She is scheduled to arrive in Louisville on Tuesday.
