Young Bucks Tracker: April 1 edition

With two-thirds of the roster born after 1990, the Bucks are a young, growing team trying to develop an identity and a franchise that has to figure out which players have a future in Milwaukee. Every Wednesday for the rest of the season, FOX Sports Wisconsin's James Carlton takes a closer look at the players that are still on their rookie contracts, measuring, highlighting and evaluating their progress.
GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO (age 20, second season)

Advanced stats, season: 15.4 player efficiency rating (based on 15.0 league average), 56.1 true shooting percentage (accounting for free throws and 3-pointers), 18.3 usage rate (possessions used per 40 minutes).

Noted: Antetokounmpo followed up a strong week by again carrying the load for Milwaukee. As the other young Bucks wilted, the Greek Freak played strong minutes and produced. He didn't have any of his monster games this week, but he was consistent and shooting 72 percent from the field is always a positive thing.
MICHAEL CARTER-WILLIAMS (age 23, second season)
Statistical averages, past week (season): 20.7 minutes (32.8), 8.3 points (14.3), 2.7 rebounds (5.4), 5.3 assists (6.8), 0.0 blocks (0.4), 2.3 steals (1.6), 26.9 FG% (38.1), 0.0 3PT% (23.6).
Advanced stats, season: 13.1 player efficiency rating (based on 15.0 league average), 45.0 true shooting percentage (accounting for free throws and 3-pointers), 25.2 usage rate (possessions used per 40 minutes).
Noted: It just keeps getting worse for MCW. Carter-Williams' numbers were down again, more so than they've been during any Tracker since coming to Milwaukee. The much-maligned shooter continued to throw up bricks, making just seven in 26 attempts; his rebounding was down again, a bad sign for a big guard; he had 16 assists in the three games but also nine turnovers, amounting to a 1.8-to-1 ratio. He fouled out of the Bucks' win over the Pacers and was a nonfactor in their two losses.
TYLER ENNIS (age 20, first season)
Statistical averages, past week (season): 9.0 minutes (12.8), 1.7 points (3.8), 0.7 rebounds (1.1), 2.3 assists (2.2), 0.0 blocks (0.2), 0.7 steals (0.6), 50.0 FG% (37.2), 0.0 3PT% (27.8).
Advanced stats, season: 7.7 player efficiency rating (based on 15.0 league average), 42.3 true shooting percentage (accounting for free throws and 3-pointers), 19.5 usage rate (possessions used per 40 minutes).
Trending: Up
Noted: By playing him fewer minutes, the Bucks are squeezing some production out of Ennis. In the least amount of playing time he's had since coming to Milwaukee at the trade deadline, Ennis was effective and kept his mistakes to a minimum this week. He didn't score much, but he made two of the four shots he took. He doled out seven assists and committed just two turnovers in three games.
JOHN HENSON (age 24, third season)
Statistical averages, past week (season): 18.0 minutes (18.2), 6.0 points (7.0), 5.3 rebounds (4.6), 0.7 assists (0.8), 2.3 blocks (1.9), 1.0 steals (0.4), 35.0 FG% (55.4), 0.0 3PT% (0.0).
Advanced stats, season: 17.6 player efficiency rating (based on 15.0 league average), 57.1 true shooting percentage (accounting for free throws and 3-pointers), 16.9 usage rate (possessions used per 40 minutes).
KHRIS MIDDLETON (age 23, third season)
Advanced stats, season: 15.6 player efficiency rating (based on 15.0 league average), 56.3 true shooting percentage (accounting for free throws and 3-pointers), 18.5 usage rate (possessions used per 40 minutes).
