WR change: Vikings waive Jean, add Cooper

The Minnesota Vikings have added a receiver familiar with new offensive coordinator Norv Turner in a swap of wideouts.
Minnesota waived wide receiver Lestar Jean and signed third-year receiver Josh Cooper on Friday. Cooper, 25, has played the past two seasons for the Cleveland Browns, including last year in Turner's one season as Cleveland's offensive coordinator when Cooper had nine catches for 60 yards.
An undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State in 2012, Cooper signed with the Browns and has 17 catches for 166 yards in his two NFL seasons, playing in 11 games over the span.
Cooper played under Scott Turner last year when Scott Turner, Norv's son, was Cleveland's receivers coach.
Jean, 26, was signed by Minnesota earlier this season as a free agent after two seasons with the Houston Texans. Jean was waived with an injury designation, according to the NFL's transaction wire on Thursday.
Jean cleared waivers Friday and the Vikings placed him on injured reserve.
