The results are in following Tiger Woods' brief excursion to Chambers Bay, and the three-time U.S. Open champion told reporters that the course will definitely be a tough task.

Woods played practice rounds at the U.S. Open site on Monday and Tuesday before flying to Dublin, Ohio, for a media session Wednesday ahead of the Memorial Tournament. He told reporters he spent about seven hours on the course on Monday, and he said it was important to heed the advice of USGA executive director Mike Davis, who recommended players spend extra time learning the course.

"I thought that was interesting Mike would say something like that," Woods told reporters. "When Mike says something like that, you have to pay attention because he is a smart guy."

Woods also told the media that the toughest challenge was figuring out how Davis plans to set up the links-style course since its tees can stretch as far as 7,940 yards. Golf Channel claimed it is more likely that Davis will lay out the tees at 7,500 yards.

But Woods will shift his focus for now to the Memorial Tournament, which will be his first event since The Players Championship in early May. He will tee up with Patrick Reed and Jason Day on Thursday.
