The 3-year-old colt Winslow Homer has been sidelined with a stress fracture and no longer is a Kentucky Derby contender.

Winslow Homer had won three straight races, including the Holy Bull Stakes last month in Florida. Owner Rick Porter said on his Fox Hill Farm's Web site that his colt will be out ``60-90 days'' after a stress fracture in the cannon bone was discovered Sunday.

Porter says Winslow Homer should return to training in April and ``hopefully we will have a huge summer and fall with him.''

Last year, Porter's Old Fashioned was an early Derby prospect but was sidelined with an injury. Porter owned Eight Belles, who finished second in the 2008 Derby before her fatal breakdown after the race. He also owned 2007 Derby runner-up Hard Spun.
