ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Wild announced Thursday that the club has reassigned defenseman Christian Folin to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.
Folin, 24, had recorded six points in 29 games with Minnesota this season. The 6-foot-3, 214-pounder started the season with Minnesota before spending eight games toiling in Iowa in late November, during which he posted four points.
A native of Gothenburg, Sweden, Folin signed as a free agent with the Wild on March, 31, 2014, and produced an assist in his only NHL game last season, on April 10 against St. Louis.
