The Minnesota Wild have called up Carson McMillan from the Houston Aeros, general manager Chuck Fletcher announced Friday.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward has scored 18 points while recording a plus-4 rating in 64 games with the Aeros and is currently tied for third in the AHL scoring three shorthanded goals.  The 24-year-old native of Manitoba made his NHL debut with the Wild in 2011, played 11 games with the team last season and has registered five points in 15 career games with Minnesota.
McMillan was a seventh-round draft choice in the 2007 Entry Draft and will wear No. 45 on Friday as the Wild look to clinch a playoff spot with a victory over Edmonton.
