The second day of free agency didn't hold the same draft for the NHL and the Minnesota Wild.

A day after signing prized free agent Thomas Vanek, Minnesota agreed to terms with forward Joel Rechlicz on a one-year, two-way contract on Wednesday.

Rechlicz, 27, played in 25 games in the American Hockey League last season with the Hershey Bears where he had one goal, one assist and 87 penalty minutes. Rechlicz adds to the depth in the Wild organization with the team able to play him with the Iowa Wild in the AHL or in the NHL.

Rechlicz has played in 26 career NHL games with the New York Islanders and Washington Capitals, recording one assist and 105 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound forward is an enforcer with 886 penalty minutes in 187 AHL games among four teams, making his pro debut in 2007.
