Who's the greatest player in SEC history? You will decide

BY foxsports • August 26, 2013

The SEC has a storied history that few conferences can rival.

Heisman Trophy winners, All-Americans, Hall of Famers ... legends. The league has its share of them all, but which player is the best of the best? You will decide in the SEC Gridiron LIVE Greatest Player Tournament presented by Direct Auto Insurance.

FOXSportsSouth.com's selection committee narrowed the biggest names in SEC history down to 64 players and seeded them in an NCAA tournament-style bracket, where offense and defense will meet in the final to crown the greatest player.

Fans now have the chance to fill out their own brackets and save them to Facebook, then beginning Sept. 4, come back, help us decided who advances each week in the tournament and stack your own bracket against America's votes.

On the Sept. 4 episode of SEC Gridiron LIVE, airing at 10 p.m. ET on FOX Sports South, we will begin releasing a set number of votable matchups and, you, the fans, will have a week to submit your votes on FOXSportsSouth.com. The results will be unveiled on SEC Gridiron LIVE and the process will continue until we reveal the winner of the SEC Gridiron LIVE Greatest Player Tournament on the Nov. 20 episode.

Throughout the tournament be sure to check back on FOXSportsSouth.com for complete breakdowns of the voting and more in-depth coverage of our search for the greatest player in SEC history.
