Floyd Mayweather was a busy man Super Bowl Sunday.
After finally debunking a hoax on the Twittersphere about his $10.4 million bet that never was, the brash boxer took to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook with another stunt that appears to be the real deal.

What is known is the when and where: The five-division world champion will next fight May 3 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. What is not yet known is his opponent in the fight. Since beating Saul "Canelo" Alvarez by majority decision in September, most have pegged the 45-0 Mayweather to face either Amir Khan (28-3, 19 KO) or Marco Maidana (35-3, 31 KO). And as of late Tuesday night, Mayweather's Facebook post was just shy of 100,000 replies.
We know Floyd Mayweather will be in Las Vegas on May 3, but we're waiting to see who will be in the ring with him . . . in form of both an opponent and a troubled-pop-star belt holder.
Along with yet another chance to have some fun with social media, Mayweather may have let the fans decide due to so much negativity toward a Mayweather-Khan matchup.
"Originally, [Mayweather's camp was] thinking Khan," Jeff Mayweather, Floyd's uncle, told MLive.com on Tuesday. "But with so much negative feedback, with the blogs and various things — it seemed like every time you saw Amir Khan's name attached to it, it said he had no chance."
"Amir Khan doesn't have a title and he hasn't done anything to deserve a shot," Jeff Mayweather continued. "People want to see Floyd against the guy who beat Adrien Broner. They want to compare the imitator against the genuine one. Realistically, that's what he (Broner) is, an imitator of the legitimate thing."
Khan did beat Maidana in 2010, but Maidana has the sexiest recent win in December's upset over Broner, and fights for Golden Boy Promotions, which has promoted Mayweather fights since 2007.
Of course, Mayweather offered up two choices, but a third option was a popular pick with many of the respondents.
