Western Force defeat Sunwolves 40-22 in Super Rugby

TOKYO (AP) Marcel Brache scored three tries in the first half to lead the Western Force to a 40-22 win over the Sunwolves in Super Rugby on Saturday.
The match at Chichibu rugby ground got off to a promising start for the hosts when Akihito Yamada ran in a try in the third minute to give the Sunwolves a brief 5-0 lead.
Brache responded two minutes later with his first try and the visitors seized the momentum and built a 26-5 lead by halftime.
Tusi Pisi and Derek Carpenter scored tries after the break to give the hosts some hope but any chance of a comeback was dashed when Angus Cottrell intercepted a pass at the halfway line and ran the distance to make it 40-15 in the 75th minute.
The Japan-based Sunwolves got their first win two weeks ago with a 36-28 win over the Jaguares.
