Weaver names first child after former P Nick Adenhart

Angels pitcher Jered Weaver is off to a rough start this season, but he still had reason to celebrate Friday.
Weaver's wife, Kristin, gave birth to the couple's first child, a boy, Aden David, Friday afternoon. Aden weighed 8 pounds and measured 21 inches.
The Weavers named their son in honor of former Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart, who was killed in an auto accident after making his first start for the Angels on April 9, 2009.
Weaver was excused from attending his team's game against the Boston Red Sox at Angel Stadium. The right-hander, a 20-game winner last season who scrawls the initials NA on the back of the mound before every start in honor of Adenhart, spent time on the disabled list recovering from a broken bone in his left elbow, but picked up his second win Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
