The NASCAR fan base is one of the most loyal and passionate group of fans in all of sports, and that is evident on social media. Following nearly every NASCAR race, Facebook and Twitter explode with comments and opinions from fans of nearly every driver and team.
Each week, we will be looking at some of the best comments from around the world of social media, taken from comments on the NASCAR on FOX Facebook page and tweets mentioning the @NASCARonFOX Twitter handle.
This week's hot topic was obviously the controversial finish at Richmond, and ensuing penalties that were dished out to Michael Waltrip Racing on Monday evening.
The passion, dedication and disgust of many fans came through loud and clear.
Here's a sample of the feedback we at NASCAR on FOX received:

@hages31: @NASCARONFOX @MWRteam @CandiceSpencer the reason MWR isn't appealing because they know they got off easy #mwralwayscheats

@NASCAR @NASCARONFOX Bowyer should have been docked more points. Gordon should be in because he was before that spin!

@LarryMac28 @NASCARONFOX INTEGRITY is so important in sports and I was so proud NASCAR had it, but not now. Very disappointed.

@LarryMac28 @NASCARONFOX Wonder if Nascar would having really addressed this if it wasn't that so many fans called them out on it.

@LarryMac28 @NASCARONFOX there r still many disillusioned fans, and drivers I am sure. Why make rules which will not be "micro managed". :(

@NASCARONFOX @LarryMac28 @ClintBowyer @MWRteam How come nobody says anything about Jimmie Johnson staying out to bring out caution for Jeff.

@LarryMac28 @NASCARONFOX. Not sure about this. We have tickets and a 6 day trip to martinsville and now feeling like the money is wasted.

@LarryMac28 @bobdillner @mw55 @NASCARONFOX Wish someone would just ask them, how stupid do they think people are? Man Up, Admit, Move on.
