NEW YORK (AP) Wake Up in Malibu was the front-running winner of the $100,000 Saginaw Stakes for New York breds on Friday at Belmont Park.
Manny Franco rode for trainer Charlie Baker as the 5-year-old gelding beat 4/5 favorite Royal Posse by 2 1/4 lengths. Wake Up in Malibu improved to 3-1-3 in nine starts at Belmont.
He paid $8.30, $3.90 and $2.50 as the 3-1 second choice.
Royal Posse returned $2.80 and $2.10.

Good Luck Gus paid $2.40 to show.
The time was 1:40.39 for the 1 1/16 miles.
