Jakub Voracek scored for the Blue Jackets in overtime to preserve a 4-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators in front of 17,652 at Nationwide Arena on Friday night.
The Blue Jackets (20-15-3) had to fight both the Senators (16-19-4) and a heavy dose of fatigue as Columbus was playing the second game in a back-to-back. The tired legs almost won out as the Jackets let a three-goal lead evaporate in the span of 19:52, but overtime heroics by Voracek secured the victory.
