Vikings swap DEs: sign Reed, waive Cyrille

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings swapped a pair of defensive ends Wednesday, signing third-year player Nick Reed and waiving rookie Kevin Cyrille.
Reed, a seventh-round draft pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2009 out of Oregon, has bounced around in his short NFL career, playing with a new team each season.
Reed, who finished his career at Oregon as the school's all-time sacks leader with 29.5 , played all 16 games in his rookie season with Seattle. He had 17 tackles and one sack, but he couldn't stick with the Seahawks. He played seven games for the Chicago Bears in 2010 and three games last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 6-foot-1, 248-pound end reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the Vikings after participating in Minnesota's rookie minicamp earlier this month on a tryout basis.
The Vikings have 80 signed players on their 90-man roster, but none of their 10 draft picks from April has agreed to a contract.
