The Green Bay to Minnesota pipeline is continuing with tight end Brandon Bostick.
Bostick, 25, was claimed off waivers by the Vikings on Wednesday. Bostick, who mishandled a kickoff in the Packers' NFC championship game loss at Seattle, was waived by Green Bay on Tuesday.
"Boom! We Got Action!," Bostick wrote on his Twitter page (@Bostick11) Wednesday afternoon.
Bostick's agent, Blake Baratz, broke the news on his own Twitter account.
"Everything happens for a reason," wrote Baratz, who lives in Minnesota. "My man @Bostick11 is coming to my hood. Great landing spot, in my backyard, the best is yet to come my man!"
An undrafted free agent out of Newberry College in 2012, Bostick saw time on the Packers' practice squad before seeing action in 24 games the past two seasons. He has nine catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns in his career.
Bostick, who has one year remaining on his rookie contract, joins a Vikings tight end group that includes Kyle Rudolph, Rhett Ellison, Chase Ford and Ryan Otten. Rudolph was limited to 24 catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns while being playing in only nine games because of double sports hernia surgery. Ellison, a key blocker for Minnesota, and Ford combined for 42 catches.
Other former Packers who later played for the Vikings include current Minnesota wide receiver Greg Jennings, quarterback Brett Favre and kicker Ryan Longwell.
