Vikings add 16 undrafted free agents to their roster

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings announced on their website Tuesday that they have signed 16 undrafted free agents, bringing the roster to 89 players, one shy of the NFL limit for the offseason.
Minnesota will have the 16 players in town this week to participate in the team's rookie minicamp, plus the nine players drafted last week and several other players invited on a tryout basis.
The Vikings signed: Iowa quarterback James Vandenberg, North Carolina receiver Erik Highsmith, Eastern Washington receiver Nicholas Edwards, North Carolina State safety Brandan Bishop, UNLV running back Bradley Randle, Furman running back Jerodis Williams, Furman tight end Colin Anderson, SMU fullback Zach Line, Georgia Southern safety Darius Eubanks, Ohio State linebacker Nathan Williams, North Carolina State center Camden Wentz, Portland State defensive end Marquis Jackson, Glenville State tackle Mark Jackson, Kentucky defensive end Collins Ukwu, Florida State defensive tackle Anthony McCloud and Florida State receiver Rodney Smith.
Smith is a 6-foot-4 receiver who played with quarterback Christian Ponder during his first two years with the Seminoles. Smith and McCloud were teammates of Vikings draft picks Xavier Rhodes and Everett Dawkins.
