BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Jordan Matthews already owns the SEC records for career receptions and yardage. He's also set a single-season conference mark for catches in this, his senior season.
We've come to except the unexpected from the Vanderbilt wide out, who arrived in Nashville as a two-star recruit -- but he's put on a show in the BBVA Compass Bowl.
With Houston's All-AAC safety Trevon Stewart draping him, Franklin made a one-handed grab for a 39-yard gain to set the Commodores up to take a 17-0 lead in the second quarter.

That comes after he took a screen pass in the first frame and raced down field for a 50-yard touchdown and went 50 yards again late in the second to put Vanderbilt up 24-0.
